Nana San Restaurant in Newport Beach

Trying this sushi restaurant for the first time. It is located at Newport Beach off Jamboree. This place is not big, only has a capacity of 40+. It has a sushi bar as well. We turned up at 8:40-ish on Wednesday evening, still needed to wait for a table. I guess it is quite popular with some good reviews in Yelp. We ordered some sushi, oyster shooters, soft shell crab, etc. The oyster shooters were very spicy, so-so taste-wise. Soft shell crab roll was delicious though. Waitress recommended lotus roots with tuna, that was the best dish. 2 people for just less than $70, a bit on the pricey front.

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in Newport Beach

We came to this steakhouse to celebrate my new job. A nice posh restaurant with great delicious food. We had a 8:15pm booking and arrived on time, but the place was so packed and we stilll had to wait for a further half an hour before we got our table. The food was delicious, and it's worth the wait. Service was good too and our waiter was particularly helpful. We ordered prime rib-eye steaks as well lobster tail with veal chop (around $40 mark each). The rib-eye steak was definitely better than the veal chop. We also had 2 side orders, the sweetcorn with jalapeno was creamy and tasty. We finished off with desert - a yummy chocolate souffle which took 15min to prepare. All in all a good dinner place, will definitely return some day!

Javier's Cantina & Grill in Newport Beach

My brother took us to this Mexician restaurant for dinner and it is by far the best Mexician restaurant we tried so far in US. Their nacho with hot salsa sauce was great, we couldn't stop ourselves from eating that. In the end, we had to order extra nacho and salsa sauce to take home. They also have a good selection of margarita. Service was good and they made you feel very welcoming. Price was reasonable too. A must to bring your family and friends there.

True Food Kitchen in Fashion Island Shopping Center, Newport Beach

A very nice place for organic food and drinks. The service was great too, the waitresses were very informative. There was a great selection of deserts, but the chocolate cake was really rich. Definitely a good place to dine after some serious shopping at the Fashion Island Shopping Center.
